Fund Raising Continues
Our Parish is continuing to actively raise
funds toward the goal of eliminating the property mortgage for our new parish
home. We ask all our friends to join us in this endeavor! If you have a
mind to help us, God loveth a cheerful giver. Please bring your gift
when you come to pray here, or you can simply give by Pay Pal.
Announcements for Week of 22 January 2012
* There is no weekday liturgy this week due to Fr Patrick's absence.
* This week, 23 January through 27 January, Fr Patrick is out of the parish, at St Paisius Monastery.
* House blessings can be arranged by appointment. Contact Fr Patrick directly. The period of time up through February 18th is available for such a blessing. It is a great plan to combine with other households to have a "progressive" home blessing!.
* Tuesday evening Parish Study will begin soon: January 31! Theme:
"Life in community: how does an Orthodox Christian parish church family live?" It will run for nine weeks, through the last Tuesday of Lent, April 3rd. Our goal is to take several elements of our common life and examine them carefully: Eucharist, apostolic teaching, repentance & confession, salvation of the person-in-community, therapy of body & soul (eating, fasting, praying, education, action), finances & household management, family as "miniature church" and more...) Sign up, get involved, and learn! We will use a book as background reading, so let Fr Patrick know if you want to get a book.
